Occupational Therapist – Ambulatory Care
Toronto, Ontario Temporary, full-time $46.98–$58.71 / hour
About the role
This temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) role supports Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto. You will provide occupational therapy to children, youth and families in ambulatory care, primarily supporting the concussion population and mental health project work. Closing date: October 30, 2026.
What you'll do
- Set client-centred goals with children, youth and families, and evaluate care using outcome measures
- Assess, plan and document interventions according to hospital and college standards
- Provide direct service, consultation and education focused on self-care, school and play skills, and leisure
- Support clients with concussion and lead an ambulatory-wide project for clients with mental health needs
- Coordinate with interprofessional teams and community providers
- Contribute to student supervision, teaching, research and quality improvement
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy (master's degree preferred)
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Experience assessing and treating children and youth; acquired brain injury experience is an asset
- Experience with splinting, assistive devices, and a wide range of lifts and transfers (lifts and transfers required)
- Experience with outcome measures such as the COPM and Goal Attainment Scaling
- Strong critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills
